Amazon.com has made a list of all the best tents as of the present day.
It’s no surprise that Coleman topped the list. The brand is still the number one outdoor brand. According to Amazon.com, the best tent is Coleman’s Instant 14 by 10 feet tent. This tent is big enough for eight individuals to fit in. The two-door feature is also an attraction for couples who are bringing their family along with them.
Runner up is Swiss Gear Montreaux ten-person family dome tent. There are some who consider this as the best available large tent.
The Columbia Cougar Flats II Family Cabin Dome Tent is another large tent to be considered. I’m not very familiar with Columbia but now that it’s in the list and a lot of people are satisfied, I might just try it.
My new favorite brand is Eureka and I’m so glad five of its tents made it to the list. The brand took the fourth through seventh spots and the tenth. It is the brand with the most number of tents that made it to Amazon’s list. The fourth spot in the list belongs to The Copper Canyon 1512 Cabin Tent that is fit for 12 persons. This is also one of the more talked about large tents in the camping blogosphere. Eureka brands that are in the fifth through seventh spots are: Copper Canyon 1312 for eight people; the Sunrise 11 Family for six persons and the Tetragon 1610.
Coleman is also determined to develop new tents such as the Weather Master 8 person tent; but there is also a brand Wenzel Kondike who is constantly on the rise with their tents. Maybe this is the kind of hit that the Kondike brand needs to be an outdoors household name.
The Eureka power tent is another large tent that is amongst the best tents of today’s list.
Surprise, surprise, not a single North Face tent is on the list. This is probably a kick in the butt for the outdoor company. There are just more and more brands trying to creep from behind and steal the show. There are a lot of brands today that seems to last for a very long time. So, this is a wake up call to North Face…where art thou? Where are your best tents from a couple of years ago and the large tents that were the brand of yesterday?
For Eureka, keep up the good work. Coleman, time to innovate more or the Kondike brand may dominate next year.
